Can anyone give advice on what to do please. Ive just been to fill my car up and the filler cap will not screw loose, its just making a noise and i cant get it off...also the flip release thing ( cant think what to call it ) will not close ...So now ive not much deisel in and i cant fill the bugger up ? Shall i call the skoda help line or just take it in to the dealer , i dont want to break it and then the dealer say i have to pay for it ?????

I'd drop it into the dealers as they should know what to do and might have a spare cap if needed.

Can't see the filler flap problem being a long job - think someone posted something on here about the very same thing.

Sounds like a busted cap - It does the same clicky thing if you turn it clockwise as well right?

As for the cap not shutting,probably means the cable has become unclipped inside the car. you can check it by opening the boot, pulling back the trim on the right side of the boot, and the cable goes in to the filler cap just behind /above the wheel arch. If its loose, you can twist / push it until it clicks back in. Then at least that will be fixed nice and easy.

Don't worry about it. This is just a teething issue I reckon - and this is the first time ever I've heard on Briskoda of a diesel cap jamming on. Just unlucky with that I think. The filler cap lever wire popping off is a little more common, but is just a nice easy fix.

Took it to the garage and they put a new one on ...only took 5 mins...funny thing though the release is now working
