Mileage adjustment after cluster replacement

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Just wondering if someone can help me.

I'd like to adjust the recorded mileage on my Superb. I've just had a second hand instrument cluster installed, and the mileage shown is just over 10,000 less than the car should have on it.

I'd like to correct this, so that all the servicing records etc. line up correctly with the shown mileage.

If anyone knows someone who could do this, please let me know.

Thanks,

Bagpuss.

Thanks Stu.

I guess I was really asking for a recommendation from someone, as I'm a bit wary of

the whole subject.

I think it's one of those proffessions which will always attract undesirables I'm afraid.

Tampering with the speedo is an offence, even adding mileage. In your case it would look very suspicious as your service history should include speedo replacement, but wouldn't show a difference in mileage, might put people off.

No it isn't. Selling a vehicle with an inaccurate mileage indication and not informing the seller is an offence.
