Skoda have quoted me £750 for 4 "Knife" alloy wheels and tyres.

As this is project pikey that seems a bit high so I have a few options...

OZ 5 stars O.Z. 5-Star Silver Painted

Fabia vRS alloys

Audi RS6 (Replica) alloys

Bite the bullet and get the Skoda "Knife" alloys- Škoda UK - Showroom Fabia - Model Range (On blue fabia at the top)

These are to go on a 1.2 by the way.

you still got your vrs ian??

I do until Saturday when I downgrade to a 1.2!

Idiot!!

Only joking mate. Hope the 1.2 brings many years of happy motoring for you

it'll be far cheaper to run, insurance and maintenance will be cheaper..... but you will miss the power from the vrs

The main reason for the change is to save myself

You can guess what I voted for...

Not biased at all lol

Here's to 3 cylinders and 64bhp!

it's not all that bad!! besides it's better than driving a vauxhall or a ford!

and the 1.2 isn't that bad, my sister had a 1.2 HTP polo and it drove really nice.:)

Well I did consider a Focus but I'm very familar with the Fabia and rather like it so I thought I'd give another one a home. Awww.

I've stalled a diesel....'enuf said!

Those Knife ones do look nice, that's what I'd go for from that list. 2nd place for me would be the OZ 5-Star.

I really like the knife alloys but I'm not paying £750 for them when the 5 stars are almost £200 less. Thanks for you input guys....

Hopefully TexasJohn's vRS alloys will be mine sometime next week, then a visit to Awesome to get the ride height sorted and all should be well.

Sorry but unless you've got the wheel weights listed somewhere, I vote for none of the above.

With a 1.2 petrol engine the car will have enough of a problem accelerating without having to whirl bigger/heavier tyres and wheels around too.

Having written that I like the OZ wheels.

Maybe something like a Team Dynamics Pro-Race1/1.2 or 2 in 15x7?

J.

I have 16" alloys, 7½" wide on my Fabia 1.4 68bhp.

The car will be slower when accelerating, but the annoying thing is that it is difficult to make a quick start off, say, a juntion, as you have to get all the weight rolling first. I live with this, as i think the alloys suits the car.

Oh, and i also have open air filter on mine, sounds really good. Roars a lot, but getting nowhere. :P

Regarding alloys - out of the ones you picked, RS6.
