I have just got my replacment air filter for my Fabia VRS. Is it easy to fit.

Could anyone give me and idea of how to change it in step form would be great and and estimate on how long it will take.

Open the bonnet and prop it up; thats the easy bit. The rest is easy too.

There is a philips head screw in each corner of the air filter box. Undo them. They do not come all the way out but up maybe 1cm and you should be able to feel when they are loose and no longer in the thread.

Lift the lid of the air filter up and it will tilt as you still have the intake pipe to the throttle body attached.

Take out the old filter and replace it with your new one; as the filter is an odd shape there should be no danger of you putting it in the wrong way round.

Reverse the above proceedure - job done. First time should take no more than 10 mins; when practiced less than 5 mins. OK?

Spot on bahnstormer. Things get tricky when there's a strut brace in the way and lpg pipework inhibiting movement.

Oh, those 2 screws are just on the right hand side. The left side is a kind of clip / slide in, which comes out once you lift up the right hand side, and gently pull the box to the right. No need to disconnect the MAF section with surclips or anything.

5 minutes including making a brew Just make sure you don't drop any screwdriver bits or you'll need to take off the undertray too to retrieve them
