Fuel gauge busted...

Featured Replies

My fuel gauge is intermittently kapput. I guess the problem could be anywhere between tank and needle, but if the boys at Skoda have to get behind the dash, how big a job will that be?

And if they do, would a retrofit Maxi-Dot be possible...?

I'm not concerned that it won't get fixed under warranty, but I am worried that it might lead to an unsolvable squeaky dash problem...

Retrofit maxidot is a full new dash pod i would have thought.

The fuel would most likely be the tank sensor i would have thought., The rest of it is pretty reliable and the tnank sensor is exposed to fuel and either electrical or mechanical or both. Never a great combo in fuel
