uprated dampers for fabia estate???

Featured Replies

Has anyone uprated the dampers on a Fabia Estate? I have a 1.9TDi estate and it could do with better dampers - old ones are a bit tired now. Anyone done this without lowering it (too many speed bumps)?

I was thinking about a set of vRS dampers. Is the rear suspension the same on the hatch and the estate?

Same problem here, my combi is like a pogo-stick in fast corners which is very unsettling considering what a quick car this is.

Once funds allow I will be adding vRS wheels, and vRS dampers to the front end ... but what to do with one's rear end ???

AFAIK, there is only one model of dampers for the entire Fabia range, it is the springs which are different. I personally would not put vRS suspension on a non-vRS as the nose weights are significantly different due to the 6-speed gear box. You're better of going the Eibach springs and dampers route or just getting some Koni FSD dampers :D

Another option may be the Jabba ARB which should improve cornering control....

vRS dampers would be fine with Eibach springs on an estate, might be able to get a used set of dampers on here if your on a tight budget.

Myself I'd be looking at a Weitec coil over kit (they list one for the estate) :)
