Plug Caps

Featured Replies

Hi all

Just purchased a Vrs Mk1. Would like to change the spark plugs to Denso Iridum IK20. Though have never seen this type of set-up before, with the leads coming out of the back. Any idea how to remove the 'caps' after leads are removed from back? I've pulled a few times but they feel quite solid. Over the fourth plug (from left to right) is the coil pack i presume, is it easy to remove? Have purchased a Carbonio Intake as well, but that has very detailed instructions - seems about 2 hours to fit. Got that from Awesome Gti.

Cheers

Cant answer the plug question but would be interested in the reply cause mine are due a change soon.

As for the Carbonio, if it doesnt tell you to remove the battery i'm told its a good idea to take it out of the way, makes life alot easier, or so i'm told. I run a Jabba Sport induction kit a la my avatar.

Thanks for reply Nigel. It does say about removing the battery, thanks for that. Also the splash guard under n/s wheel arch has to be removed to fit the filter onto the induction pipe and a small filter is supplied for the air pump pipe.

Hope to get to Jabba soon.

Cheers.
