Fabia 2.0 throttle body pipe?

Featured Replies

right i've noticed that the pipe from the airbox the the throttle body has a built in resonance chamber which is kind of behind the engine, i fully understand the reasons why it has been but there, to stop revesion pulses in the intake tract, but my question is to all you technical minds out there. with short duration camming which this car has (around 227 degrees) is it really necessary to have this damping chaber or is it just a huge restriction to flow??

i am having a cam ground for me up for me now with 266 degrees duration, but even still this would be considered very mild as far as cams go, so is it worth fabricating a smooth pipe to put from the airbox to the throttle body or is it going to bring a decline in performance due to increased reversion......

any thoughts???

I'd give it a go myself.

Gotta be helpfull i'd say.
