Sorry had to resize the piccy, as it was 501.7 kB.

pmsl! whoever did that is just plain stupid.......

but SWMBO has done some awesome parking like that before....

Take a look at the K-Reg estate on the right of the picture as well and see the lovely angle they've parked at!!!

Last week i parked up Merry Hill and was parked in an end space next to a kerb, so parked it right by the kerb and had a good size gap the other side of my car. When i got back, a t0sser had parked in the space next to me with their wheels in my space and at an angle so i had to watch i didn't scrap their car when i reversed out. How they got out their car without hitting mine i don't know!!!

Now Councils are trying to get every penny they can it seems some car parking spaces are ridiculously tight-especially for getting children in and out of cars:thumbdwn:

I'm not aware that the standard width of parking bays has changed (although how many councils abide by the design guides I don't know), but I'm pretty sure cars have been getting wider in the last 10 years, quite significantly.

Yes auto express had an article about how modern cars such as a new Ford Focus can not fit in the width or length of a regualr 1970's car parking space. etc

There's always one isn't there

Cannot understand why people park like this. The only other thing i could think of, is that the car was stolen and dumped?

Yep, that's how crap the parking is!

When I arrived, there was a crowd of people around it.

I think what had happened was that the driver had taken a short cut across the parking spaces and bumped up onto the concrete driven along the top of it and then bumped down the other side.

The car was then stuck straddling the raised part.

There was a Punto at work that had been parked in a similar fashion, but the front half of the car was embedded in the hedge at the end of the bay. It got posted up on our internal forums for all to see and the driver replied justifying his parking. Apparently the handbrake must have failed causing the car to roll (uphill) over a kerb and 6 foot into the bush

Shame I can't find the photo of it....

Chris

LOL. That's usually the case isn't it? It would of been unheard off, for the car to roll backwards...

Not quite the same, but I did laugh at the chap in the Saab on Guildford High Street a few weeks ago, doing his super-cool one-handed turn in the road. Took the front airdam off on the kerb. Made a fantastic noise.
