Has anyone fitted/replaced a shark fin arial to thier octy yet. if so was if a straight forward affair. I have seen one on e-bay and always fancied one. looks pretty good.

Don't touch them (Sharkfin Antennas that is) they are rubbish...If any doubters please buy and fit, you will soon see!;)

Yes reception is crap with the shark fin aerial but i didn't buy mine for that reason,i don't like bee sting aerials and think shark fins look better so mine is for cosmetic reasons only plus i don't listen to radio anyway so i'm not missing out on anything;)

This is mine: FM reception is marginally better than if you unscrew the standard aeriel. It's fine on MW, and OK on FM although I'm missing XFM in Manchester in low signal areas. I think it looks cool, mind!

Surely fitting one must be a real bitch of a job? Don't you have to run the co-ax all the way to the head unit, meaning head lining removal, or can it be done without removing the head lining?
