Removing front ancillary carriers

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me how to do this? I replaced the seal on the rear doors last week, but with the electric windows, I can't work out how to get the front carrier off because it's attached to the window.

Is it common for the front carriers to leak, or am I probably wrong in redoing the seal?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks,

Rob

not sure on this but i think the window regulator stays on the carrier when the carrier is removed , the glass stays in the frame with possibly some masking tape holding it up , you then juggle the carrier off by twisting it in the door , and yes the front carrier seals do leak

Ahem... just pulled off possibly the ultimate car-fixing clanger;

Dropped my only 10mm spanner into the inside of the door trying to undo 2 mystery bolts on the window glass carrier, and the ancillary carrier's still bolted on... with 10mm bolts :doh:

Off to the tool shop tomorrow methinks
