Featured Replies

well friday had car serviced and all was fine no probs, so decided to treat her today to a clean and polish inside and out even done the seats ( what a pain that is) she looks brill!!

I took her out and on way home engine management light comes on.... unsure why!! figures maybe the tuning box so have taken off now but light still on weird had the box for a couple of months and now it plays up lol

any other usual things i should mention to the garage to check out?? ( common faults that pop up on the vrs)

Could well be the tuning box - which one do you have?

FWIW, I believe 3 ignition restarts will clear the error :D

just tried that 3 ignition thing and its still on lol she is driving fine so maybe the boxed burnt out or somethin and brought it up god damn it now i need to buy vag com lol

VAG-COM is cheaper ;)

We had a tuning box that put a car into limp home mode (not a VAG car mind) took it off, left it off and had the light reset.

All ok after that, jus the ecu had gone WTF is happening i think i am overfueling when an amount of fuel was asked for that was out of range. THat was caused by the tuning box upping the value that was being asked for.

all sorted was fuel temp sensor error uummm wonder what caused that lol

a friend of mine has one of these boxes, and gets this error all the time, he bought one of the cheap "fault reader/resetters" from fleabay, and just resets the fault code when he takes it to the dealer...
