hi, 1 week old and one of the 18" alloys on my dads new octavia vrs has already gained a chip! its about a cm long and right up at the lip of the tyre. how would one go about sorting this? many thanks!

I'm not sure how much it would be to get fixed as it varies. But have a look at some respectable companys in your area and get quotes.

Other than that, if you can live with it, do so.....

You can get a paint called "5 wheel silver" in s can. I have used it on a few occasions to touch alloys up (spray a bit into the cap and apply using a small brush). It wont match perfectly but has looked fine when I have used it. Depends how bit it is and how fussy you are!

I went into halfords today and they do a few repair kits now. leather, alloy, paint and plastic interior/exterior repair kits. Not sure how good thay are though.
