can any of you guru's tell me if the Fabia vRS driver's speedo display area is dot matix? amd forgive me if i sound very inexperienced:idea: , but what is dot matrix?

no it isn't dot matrix , i think you may be getting confused with something that some of the Octavias have which is Maxidot displays .

You CAN get Maxidot on the Fabia IF and only IF you order the satnav as a factory-fit option.

Aftermarket fitting is possible in principle BUT when I looked into this again (in the UK) it was basically very expensive & risky. The recoding of the dash pod was not 100% guaranteed by the dealer and can make the dash pod not work, which would be charged through to the customer.

Kinda gave up on it as a result unfortunately.
