Turbo problems

Featured Replies

I recently lost power on my skoda octavia rs. There was a noise then the car still ran but no sign of the turbo. There is white smoke coming out the exhaust . When put on a diagnostic machine there seems to be no problems, yet the turbo sounds as if it wants to spin but is not powerering up. Can anyone out there say if this is definitely the turbo or is there something else I should check. If it is believed to be the turbo, can anyone suggest where I can get one, engine code AUQ, new or secondhand.

Many thanks

Hi, I think i have a similar problem with my 4X4 18T, car drives normally but no turbo punch? Happened about 2 weeks ago (after some exuberant driving):D :D

Dont have the white smoke, though does sound as if its missing slightly under power.

VAG-COM shows nothing??

Garage wants to have it for a day to strip down & check turbo:eek: as they can't see anything wrong.

will watch replys to your question with interest.
