VAG-COM Felicia chassis type?

Featured Replies

I have just got my cable and installed VAG-COM 409. When I go to do an auto scan there is no chassis type for a Felicia.

I have a Felicia Estate 1.9 diesel year 2000.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Jim

All current versions come with an appropriate AutoScan.txt entry. Feel free to add this line "6U,Skoda Felicia,01,03,15,25,41" to yours.

Thanks for that. Unfortunately I did not realise you need a full licence to use the autoscan.

I cannot detect control module 1. Engine.

Should I be able to do this with the free version?

Thanks

Jim

Yes, you should. If you can't, contact whomever you purchased your hardware from for assistance.

It will detect info on:

Diesel pump

Immobilizer

Airbags

It will not detect on Engine 1, 2, 3 or Other Engines.

I will get in touch with the cable supplier.

Thanks Jim

If it does detect the diesel pump than it's fine that you can't find an engine control module because there is none. That's what the diesel pump does in this case, which is because of the Felica being sort of an older model.

Huh? A 2000 model with no real ECU? I.e. a fully mechanical diesel injection system? Are you serious?

Yep, engine code is AEF 1.9l 64 HP. Same engine as it has been used in the Polo 6N and the old Caddy. FWIW, there is a label file for that control module. ;)

Yes you are correct, the engine is the AEF.

So there is no engine module because there is no ECU?

Thanks Jim

Correct, no ECU - just this #41 module.

Thanks Theresias.

At least I now know the cable is ok.

Jim

I have a 1997 Felicia 1.6GLXi. Registered VAG-COM and HEX+CAN interface detects 01 (engine), 15 (airbags) and 25 (immobliizer).

Mine is the 1.9 diesel. This apparently has no engine ECU.

From what I have learned from Theresias posts the only available info comes from the fuel pump module.

Thanks Jim
