Fabia with ASR?

Featured Replies

Hi all I have a 2002/52 plate Fabia 1.4mpi Classic with 74000 trouble free mile's on the clock, but I have a button on my dash which says ASR on it and also when I start up I get a flash of EDL on the dash,I can turn the ASR on and off, would doing this stop the EDL and ESP, EDB,If Im right any car fitted with traction control has all these things.

Electronic differential lock (EDL)

Electronic stabilization program (ESP)

Electronic brake-force distribution (EBD)?

i dont think they have esp, iirc only the vrs model has that......

the asr will come on automatically anyway regardless of wether it's switched on or not

As Tom said, ESP is an optional extra that probably isn't available on the 1.4 classic...

The ASR light on the dash should come on then go off when you start the car (to check the light is still working)

ASR will always be activated unless you press the ASR switch on the dash, in which case the light will come on to say ASR is deactivated.

If you turn off the engine and restart, ASR will be on again, even if you manually turned it off on your last trip.

Cheers guys.

on mine, the asr is off untill the button is pressed, but it will automatically kick in if you try to do something silly anyway
