Fabia VRS Chipping

Featured Replies

Can the fabia VRS handle the power increase to 170BHP. Will this mash the clutch, flywheel etc. Can anyone advise? Thanks

YES: 170bhp is fine. The limiting factor on the OE clutch is the torque not bhp. Taking a vRS to 170bhp will give you around 275 - 280lb ft of torque; that's OK. The OE clutch gets into trouble when your going over 300 lb ft!!!

Check out this link to JabbaSport's website Jabba Sport - Motor Sport it gives you more detail.

JabbaSport have just released an Intercooler Upgrade for the vRS Fabia see here Jabba Sport - Motor Sport they don't give any figures yet but 200bhp & 350 lb ft have got to be a possiblility. Eye watering!

Power = torque x RPM/5252

So if you want 170bhp at 4000rpm your will need 223ftlbs at 4000rpm
