I had my car in at the local skoda garage to get a few little niggles sorted out under the warrenty, i had mentioned to them that the air con was making a whistling noise and to see what they could do.

A day later i go to collect my car to find a bill for

get a letter from the dealer who has just carried out the warranty work , explaining exactly what they found with regards the pollen filter housing , including the cost to you of the repair . then send that to the dealer pricipal or service manager of the other garage , and then hope they cough up . HTH

May also be worth copying the letter to Skoda UK too as they can probably apply a bit more pressure than a lowly customer
