have bought a 2000 fabia 1.4 comfort.thought i had checked everything,but one small item overlooked,passenger window opens and closes from driver side,but no response from passenger side switch.would it be switch or a fuse.cheers

wont be a fuse as the window does work from the other side , so could be the switch or a wiring problem , a good auto electricain should be able to pinpoint the fault quite quickly , or visit the local scrap yard and get a switch off another Fabia to try in yours
