Alarm

Featured Replies

Anyone else had bother with their alarm going off with heavy wind and rain or fireworks??

Mine went off constantly the other night in the end up i left the car open.

Its booked into dealer for them to have a look at next week so hopefully they'll rectify the problem.

Mine was set off by really heavy rain but most of the cheap/standard alarms I've had in cars do. It is possible to reduce the sensitivity of the alarm I believe, but I just learnt to live with it or did a double lock to disable the internal sensors :D

I lived with it for a couple weeks, but it went off every hour throught the night waking the hole house up in early hours of monday. Thats with the double lock to turn the internal sensors off. See what telfords say next week as to if its too sensative or a fault maybe.

How do you double-lock it? Press the keyfob twice? I thought the double-lock(dead-locks?) were activated anyway with the first press of the keyfob?

Just lock the car with the remote twice within 30seconds (I think) and it knocks the internal sensors off, for use if you have pets or children in the car so that the alarm doesnt constantly go off.

Kool....sorry for hi-jacking this thread but where are the interior sensors? Are they built into the courtesy light cluster in the headlining?

I thought that but a certain Skoda tech tells me that's for the mic for the hands free kit. Maybe someone with ETKA or who's taken off the panel can enlighten us

I'd be intrigued to know, certainly after the outcome of the other thread.:o
