Removing door trim in fabia vrs ?

Featured Replies

Just a quick question.

During a dry spell of weather, I tried removing the door trim to see how I could get at the speaker and add some insulation.

Removed the four torx screws at the bottom and managed to release most of those plastic pop rivets thingies (do they have a technical name?) but the trim was still firmly in place :(

Has anyone taken it off completely? I think insisting may have been what I needed, but I didn't fancy taking the risk on breaking the bits on my new car

So any advice would be most appreciated :D

Also, maybe K or someone else can answer: is this kind of detail referenced in etka ?

Cheers chaps

You also need to remove the screws located behind the grab handle (where the leccy window switched are etc)

Just hope the speakers arent riveted in like they were in my Tdi :(

theres also a torque screw behind the mirrior control switch by the latch handle. by the way the speakers are rivoted to the inner steel panel.

Cheers for that flapper.

Looks like there is a screw in the handle grip bit that needs to come out (number 17). Not sure if the top of the handle bit should be pulled off to gain access to said screw. Any ideas?
