Help with 'TRAC' timer modules...

Featured Replies

I wonder if anyone is familiar with the electric timer modules shown in the attached piccy? Perhaps someone's got a manual or pointers to info about programming them? They have a 'TRAC' logo printed on the little plastic covers.

They are at work controlling our aircon/heating system and we'd like to set them correctly (I think I've set it up so they work for 5 days a week). Also be handy to know how to overide them for the pour souls doing overtime at the weekend so they at least are warm!

Particularly curious as to what the symbol above the bottom left button is supposed to mean?!

Thanks for any help/info.

Not sure if Trac actuall make the timers, Stu. Their website only talks about lighting so maybe they provided the "system" but are not the manufacturers of the actual timing electronics.

Guess a phone call will reveal all

I phoned a local distributer's helpline and asked for the company info.

He warned me that the website was lighting only but assured me it was them.

I've worked with these timers.

From memory I think they are "multi programmable".

They can be set for individual days (7) - working week (5) - weekends (2) or complete week (7).

They normally have two complete settings per day, on-off am, on-off pm.

The cycle is normally as detailed above and the programme is displayed at the top of the window, ie Mon-Tue-Wed etc for the 7 day programme, Mon-Fri working week, Sat-Sun weekends and so on.

There is normally an advance button that extends the running programme by either 1 hour or on till next switching period.

I'll have a butchers (maybe today) and get back to you.

Bottom left button = push to advance.

See post above. :)
