Hi everyone , still rather concerned regarding particle filter .someone said "what price is a warranty",none whatsoever most of the time .ihave just bought an ex demonstrator with 5000 on and allready has been back with this problem, sorted f.o.c. But next time? As i'm now retired i don't do the milage i once did so am i going to have to waste fuel once a week to burn of particles\/and can i send the fuel bill to skoda do you think', i think not. As i intend to keep the car into my dotage stuff the warranty i am going to wrap my exhaust in exhaust wrap and see if that works. Of course by the time i've done enough miles to be sure it's worked i'll probably be dead so if you're waiting for feedback don't hold your breath or you may be joining me

talk to you all later rod hgv

ba-jasus i thought one of our existing members had died

i agree its cack but whats also a bit cack is your use of capital letters at the start of each word, makes for difficult reading

welcome anyway :)

can a mod please edit that to be readable?

Ta,

MPM :)

I have changed the case, the content is not for me to meddle with.

Hello and welcome :)

It's quite cross-making when things seem to be wrong and even though covered by warranty, there is a cost to getting them sorted out.

I can't help with your particulate filter problem so I can only sympathise that you get it sorted out and can enjoy your new car.

Is this a wind up????

Is this guy making a sensible post?

I have changed the case, the content is not for me to meddle with.

What about the title? I think meddling with that is in order

Delete the whole post. I say!!

If you like - it wouldn't be the first time someone had tried to get attention from a title

I'm inclined to think that he's asked for help and to see how he replies. Given the replies he's had so for (more unfriendly than friendly), that might not be a good indicator.

Wrapping cling film around might be a wind-up (no pun intended) as not so good, but it sounds he's just more cross about having a long drive to get a fault sorted. Put another way, who wouldn't agree with that? I dunno - let's see maybe?

Mo

 We are ALL here because we like to help others as well as have a laugh. WE ALL SHARE ENTHUSIASM FOR THE BRAND.

Leave if you want to but had you posted a thread that was:

1. Readable

2. Understandable, satire or not

You would not have had these responses!!

May I respectfully suggest that you do a re-post so that you may receive a more measured response to your questions

to be fair mate it was quite a random thread with a very random and initially worrying title.
