VRS Nut (seeks Help)

Featured Replies

Hi I have a 2001 Octavia Vrs,

It has been re-mapped to 225bhp but I took it on a rolling road and it came out at 231bhp. I was told that if I got a cold air intake system it would add more bhp, I have done this and added a Forge recirculating dumpvalve, it now does give off a louder noise than before.

Anyway my concern is that I have a hose that comes from the engine which used to attach to the airbox sitting in the engine I put on this Cold air induction kit lastnight when I did do this at first the ASR button was'nt working then I turned off the engine and re-started again to find it was all okay again.

My main concern is this hose which I have cable tied in a safe place at the moment but what is it and how important is it to the engine?

Many thanks

If my memory serves correctly, then the small hose is the one that the excess air flows into when the diverter valve opens. It flows back into the airbox.
