Nope, mine wasnt in long enough to get the chance to break

This is a common problem on all VAG group cars with the similar radios (Such as Gamma and Betas), the microswitch goes on the switch and so will not turn the radio on and off. Stick it in the bin and buy a new unit !!!!

well he is getting a new head unit it's just if he decides to sell it in the future that's all
