Following contact with customer services early 2003 subsequently had my coils checked by Withams of Hersham in June 2003. They advised I had the wrong type which could fail. Finally, having heard nothing from Customer Services, I called Whitams in Jan this year and was advised that coils (and clutch pedal problem) could be sorted under warranty.

Pleased to say that all appers to be o/k.

clutch pedal problem??? what cars does that effect(or is that just a problem you are having with your car?)?

vRS (Octavias) are susceptible to clutch pedal return problem especially in cold weather. You can get a replacement slave cylinder under warranty. There has been a recent thread about this.
