New Style Superb Rear Lights

Featured Replies

Hello To All,

Was at the stealers yesterday collecting my car from the service dept and the rear lights are growing on me.

Does anyone have an idea as to how much they cost as when I got to the garage there was no parts man about he was on lunch.

Thanks in advance...

SJ :)

Got to admit that I like them as well.

Me too....good luck in getting a price, I'd probably get they're to new..translates to I cant be arsed to find out

I will probably be the only one to think that they look 'tacky' and 'cheap' then?

Thought this might add to the discussion. Having had another look at them have to say I quite like them. Of course most fun is letting others look at them as the Superb just blows them away with creamy smooth power.

I think the red reflector should have extended all the way to the edge of the boot to get a proper 'C' like the octy and furby, rather than have that little white outline running down the side.

Other than that, while I don't think quite as elegant as the previous generation lights, I think they look ok. :)

What bits light up? Top or bottom or both?

I like the Octy at night, proper "C" shape to it.

Looks like an egg in that pic

Fried or boiled?

It's ugly, reminds me of the Nissan Altima lights, and those are ugly.

:iagree:

They do look tacky

We must have taste (good or bad).

For me the best looking rear lights are the Octavia vRS with the reflector

strips at the bottom

I like those reflector strips on the bumpers of the vRS, anyone know if they can be bought seperately?

Would be a good retro fit on any car IMHO.

You can ofcourse purchase these seperately from the dealer.

We manufacture the ones that fit into the Range Rover / Discovery bumpers.

Cant say that I like them. I'm not a big fan of the Octy 2's rear lights either, but I guess I wouldn't let light clusters stop me from buying one.

Would they just stick on to the bumper of a standard Octy II, or does the vRS have a different design of bumper with an indentation that is specifically designed to suit them?

I am not familar with the bumper design nor the relfex reflector design (i.e. I don't have any CAD data around me) but I would suggest that there will be an aperture for the relex reflector to sit in and probably three holes, two for location and one for the metal clip on the relfex reflector to locate into the bumper.

I would suggest that a retro fit may not be possible but maybe someone with an ETKA package for the Octavia II might be able to answer this...........
