Radio / CD query

Has anyone noticed whether the radio comes on when you start the ignition when it was on the CD when you turned the ignition off (and vice versa)?

I have noticed it on mine on a couple of occasions and wondered whether it was a known feature?

Also, I have noticed that the reception on Radio 1 can be a bit rubbish from time to time. I'm getting to the age anyway now where Radio 2 has all of a sudden become strangely appealing so it doesn't really matter I guess!

If you turn off the ignition while a CD is playing the original stream radio resumes from where you were when you turned off.

If you turn off the ignition while the radio is in use you are remain tuned in to the same station when you resume.

These actions have been totally consistent on my radio.

Mine usually plays the CD if thats what was on when ignition was swithed off, however it has a mind of its own sometimes and will do what it likes. in fact sometimes it wont engage the reverse sensors. most times it does, the cars

computer is the only thing that worries me about the skoda, like most computers

it has a bit of a personality of its own.
