vRS Octy MkII Dashboard trim query.

Featured Replies

Firstly, apologies if this posting appears twice, I thought I had posted it earlier today, but may have made a mistake, as I cannot find it anywhere !

Basically I own a brand new Octy MkII VRS which is a month old, and today have managed to scratch the passenger side "metal-look" finishing strip above the glovebox whilst putting my sat-nav cradle in it.

I knew this was bound to happen, but was hoping I would get at least 12 months under my belt 1st.

Although the scratch is only the size of this letter "O", it is ruining the interior for me, as it is otherwise immaculate.

Has anyone else done the same and had the trim panel replaced ?

I have had a look and am not sure if it is something a DIY failure like myself could remove and replace without causing more damage.

Anyone any idea what I should expect to pay for the bit of trim ?

And what the fitting cost would be ?

Cheers.

As far as I can see it looks like 1Z2 858 418 C 2AU which is £12.47 + VAT.

I can't really see how it's held in other than it has 3 snap nuts which look like they would have 3 screws.

Cheers Stu, was expecting it to be more than that, may even get two at that price, I am bound to do it again !
