B6277 Middleton to Alston

Featured Replies

Try the Middleton in Teesdale to Alston road over the moors (about 20 miles ) in County Durham

Fantastic sweeping and tight corners with hardly, if any traffic.

If its good enough for police high speed training then it's good enough for me !!

have to admit that is one of my favourite roads on earth. but i prefer it the other way.....going from the Shap round about and up to alston....cos then you get VERY tight bends and 1 brilliant hairpin.....up hill seems to be more fun in 3rd/4th in the vRS and you get to see the road out ahead so you can overtake......

i used to have a mini too and the grip that car gave you was great fun....but didnt pull as much as the vRS!
