Government Road Pricing Petition

Featured Replies

We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to Scrap the planned vehicle tracking and road pricing policy.

I just received this:

Any of you that enjoy driving or have to do a lot of it will be affected by what the Government are proposing. Log onto the link below sign and pass it on. it only takes a minute to fill in.

The government's proposal to introduce road pricing will mean you having to purchase a tracking device for your car and paying a monthly bill to use it.

The tracking device will cost about

Signed. Although I think it is very difficult to pull this off to replace current road tax system.

How to check that the device has installed in the car? I am sure many people would leave the device at home.

Who says it will replace the existing road fund licence ? I'll bet a pound to a pinch of snuff it'll end up in addition to the existing licence !!!!!

I think it's a good idea. will make us all less lazy! Makes you think next time when you are driving to local places like the shops.

I think something has to be done, might not be the best solution and it will hurt all of our pockets.

It's not our pocket they need to look at it's public transport, if they make it better quality , more reliable a cheaper alternative to the car then yes I would take the train / bus everytime to work. but it's not. It's a shame it has to get to this.

When I driv eto work at minimum there are 2 in the car all days. and sometimes 4. It's a sahme to go back to this but I see loads of 4x4 with only 1 person in!!! whats the point.

I think a big car sharing scheme should be setup! that should be enforced by workplaces. Government should reward businesses that do use car share schemes

:repost: But well worth a :bump:
