fab keeps stalling

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

about a week ago, on the way to work my fabia stalled whilst pulling away from a junction and then was fine. then the next morning it did it again and then was fine, then it was fine for three days. Then on my way to work again it stopped again, started it up and ran fine on tickover and reving but when i went to pull away it died. It now will run fine on tickover and when reving but you can get about 100 yards and it dies ??. I thought maybe crud in the fuel filter so replaced that, it started up and revved fine .. went to pull away and again it died??. I then read through the forums on here replaced the 109 relay thinking this was the problem, but no. I can feel the fuel pump wurring but i cant understand it. When the aa man checked it he told me it was the lift pump, after purchasing the haynes manual i found out that the sdi has no lift pump.

has anyone had this problem or has any idea what it wrong ?

In the haynes manual it says something about air in the system but it does not tell you how to get it out.

also where is the fuel pump relay? if its where the 109 relay is, what number is it ?

I would be really grateful for anyhelp possible

regards

richard
