Featured Replies

Hi all, i have a Sharp Viewcam ( long time now) but wondered what do i need in order to copy the recording on to my pc in order to post onto a web site or have alink to for people to watch.

and no there isnt any dodgy voice over wonky filming going off ?

Windows Movie Maker is quite good and easy to use. A firewire cable to the PC and it'll autmatically ask what you want to open it with.

Was there a disc with the Camcorder ?

Sorry no disk with said camcorder.

so i will need to get a firewire cable ( oh hang on, i have my digi cam cable connected to the pc, will that do...) and some software, well off hunting for some software right now, any pointers to the best, easiest to use.

PS, wort sort of cable do i need, any part numbers out there...

I vaguely remember my Mum's digicam being recognised by windows movie maker without the need for the sony installation CDs (which conicidentlly installed a program totally crap in comparison to moviemaker) - Now I just plug it in, turn it on, go to the "capture from camera" option in movie maker and grab the footage. :) Then it's neatly broken down into clips which can be further chopped from each side and little cool functions added to the video, and music.

Just found out that the camcorder has a single round conectore for the downloading( used for connecting to the tv and then video it.) on the other end it has the red, white and yellow round plug connectores, will have to search the net for a fire wire cable....

PS, my pc auto picks up my digicam when i plug it it as well......

cheers Spevie

make is a ( sharp viewcam vl e610h )

done a quick search but nowt yet

Sounds liek its an analog camcorder...

youll need a TV card or something in your PC to be able to record the input... its a mare to do with analog sources... firewire is much better
