immobiliser light/ airbag light

Featured Replies

hi folks,

Got a wee bit of bodywork damage repaired on Friday (octavia 2001 elegance est TDi 110) and the shop had the car jacked up on one side all day. When they went to restart it the immobiliser had kicked in (tilt switch?).

I got the code from my key tag entered as per manual and have disabled the immobiliser so car will start. Unfortunately the immobiliser light is now on full time, while the airbag light is now illuminated also. Am unsure how to proceed - can someone with a VAG-COM just reset the lights or is there something bigger at play. It's now the missus' full time car (plus 1yr old baby) so don't want to leave her venturing out waiting for something bad to happen. Any ideas much appreciated as no dealer nearby.
