Indie Skoda/VW in Cambridge/Saffron Walden area

Featured Replies

Does anyone know of any know of any independent garages in the Cambridge or Saffron Walden area for servicing or repairing their Skoda?

I'm not taking my vRS to the franchised dealer anymore as they are.... well, no comment.

Thanks.

Hi Ads,

Vindis in Cambridge are crap and ludicrously expensive.

I too am looking for an alternative, but have not found anything yet.

Did you manage to find anyone in the end?

Me also, however

Barr Tech in Cowley Road are a first class outfit and I would whole heatedly trust them with my motor any day over them idiots at Vindis. They are a Ferrari, Porsche and BMW specialist they know what their doing alright.

Check them out:

Perhaps not the cheapest but probably the best service around Cambridge.:)

I hope so, his service will be long overdue

Our Superb is due for a 4yr variable service + cambelt/pump change soon. Looking through the forums there's no clear or obvious alternative to Vindis at Cowley Road.

I could take it to our local Audi specialist in Burwell. There's a possibility in the previous poster in Hardwick, or I found someone who used KJL Motors in Pampisford.

Thoughts?

I help to run an independent garage/MOT Centre in Royston, Herts, and we're open Saturday all day and Sunday morning. We're definately not posh and plush like a dealer but we know what we're doing and are competitively priced.

Hope that doesn't sound TOO much like an advert! lol
