Why wont my new Sony GT300 work in the Fabia?

Featured Replies

I installed and tested on Sat, worked fine to begin with but stopped functioning after about 30min! It wont light up however, the CD mechanism does make occasional noise. So, I tested out the factory head unit and that powers up (in safe mode) so there is power there.

I amsumed it was the Sony having issues so I tried it in another car (Hyundai Getz 2004) and it worked fine. So, I've no idea what the problem is

Anyone had this experience?

Any advice!!!

Did you swap the perm live and ign live? If not I'd guess that's your problem.

Is that just a case of swapping the yellow and red wires around? The connector cable seems to provide this option.

If this is the case, then I have tried it with no luck at all.

Sounds like it. Hmm.... I'm not sure then. Have you tried just connecting the power block without speakers or antenna? That will at least narrow it down.
