OIL for Fabia . In Europe!

Featured Replies

I have a petrol engine not diesel.

I noticed the oil level stick showed slightly low today. I want to top it up a bit.

but my Fabia manual is in Swedish, and to make it more complex, i work in Denmark (i am here just now)

manual is saying i need:

VW 500 00[1]

VW 502 00[2]

or

ACEA A2 eller A3 - 96[3]

But in the local garage, they are selling only 2 types:

10w-40 (the guy behind the counter recommended this)

or

15w-40

there were a few more, but they were for Deisels.

Does anyone know if this 10w-40 is suitable?

He told me it was synthetic and suitable for any car after 1994.

Any help appreciated...

Don`t know whats behind the VW values.

But i used 5W/40 in my Fabia 1.4 MPI.

If you need cheap good oil, head for Bilka, and buy some Shell or Mobil1.

Cheers, I will check out that shop... the convenient (but expensive) garage across the road (Q8) is pure highway robbery! thanks...
