They hold their money well due to only being a JDM release. Plus you don't see too many of them, so exclusiveness keeps prices high too.

That's why I have an MR2 and not an EK9 Type R

What motor does the Civic Jordan have in it then????? Since thats a Mk1 Civic!

Jordan- 1.6 vti-160bhp B16a2 Engine Same as Uk VTI, Import EK9 type R is same B16a2 Engine but higher bhp due to lesser restrictions from UK Catalytic Convertor etc.

The Jordan is a quick motor, my mate had one and it was a right hoot. Colours where a bit lairy like!!

The reason EK9 Type-Rs were commanding so much money was that there is no type approval documents for them so they are not too easy to import from Japan.

This is not the case anymore as they are now old enough to be exempt so you may see a few more coming over here.

Lovely motors!

I think you'll find this is a Mk1 Civic, and they certainly didn't offer a Type-R version between '73 and '79! ;)

I didn't mean the EK9 is a MKI, I meant that it is the "MKI Civic Type R" So ner :P

 - you have to be accurate in your descriptions young man. Just because the shape you show was the first to spawn a Type-R, that doesn't make it a Mk1 Civic Type-R! :D
