Cost for fixing damage from carpark bollard

Featured Replies

At one of the places i visit while doing my job they have 2 reserved parking bays that have bollards that fold down level to the road. Ive been parking in this bay all week without any problems but not today. As i reversed back the bollard has caught the underside of the drivers side and ripped loads of plastic off and mashed all the fuel lines, so diesel spilled out all over the place. The guy from the RAC said its mangled all the fuel lines and snapped all the brackets that hold them in place.

The car has been towed to a dealership and im waiting for a quote from them on how much it will cost to fix, anyone have a clue as to what sort of cost im looking at?

And do you think ill stand any chance of getting the company to pay for the damage caused by their bollard? If id tripped over it and broken my leg im sure i could sue them for damages so do you reckon i could for my car 'tripping' over the bollard?
