how long has your first clutch lasted on vrs or 100pd?

Featured Replies

hi. im coming up to 60k now and my clutch is ok but im feeling a vibrating/pulsating when getting to biting point. is this pulsating normal? also biting point is quite high. clutch is not slipping at all though. normally diesel clutches do last quite long.

also ive had my car re-mapped to from 100 to 145 bhp.

is it ok to get normal clutch or better to get a higher performance one. also where would i get a performance cltch from? and would it last loger than standard one?

thanks.

Not sure if you're only interested in remapped PD100s?

Mine isn't - it's an unmodified PD100, and up to 198K on the original clutch.

Assuming that it was not renewed prior to my purchase as previous owner was Skoda UK, then my clutch is still going strong at 71k having been re-mapped to 163bhp for 40k or so.

My tuning box'd PD100 was still on its origiinal clutch when it was sold at 82k miles. I believe the current owner has just sold it with 120k miles on (now remapped to 150-odd bhp) still on original clutch....

Chris

I'm up to 70k now (vRS) and my clutch still feels exactly like it did at new, and has never slipped (not modified)

and checking out the above posts, I think they last for ages if not abused ;)
