Hi all , please can anybody help, my timing belt needs to be changed, im fairly handy as i do all the serviceing and any work that needs doing myself, can any of you tell me if the belt change is in any way a d.i.y job including the waterpump and tentioners, is there any links to guide me through this job or should i just steer well clear and go to main dealer . thanks. dave24

Depends on what tooling and skills you have.

If it goes wrong its a new engine. You need to remove the engine mounting so need a way of supporting the engine whilst doing the job.

have all tools at my disposal , but think i need a step by step guide just in case i miss something , any sites i visited needs a credit card but thankfully i dont use one , thanks for the reply ...

Get a Haynes manual then.
