Alternator, how to removbe ??? baffled

Hi all, i need to remove my alternator, but looking at it last night it doesnt seem easy to remove, anyone removed one who could advise me.....

Also can u buy a replacement power cable for the alternator, if so how long is it, if not then i found on another post this

"They trimmed an inch or so of the cable crimped on a new lug and problem cured!"

can you buy this lug from spares shop, i noticed that the cable to the alternator was green under the tape where crimped.......if i find out how long the cable is i would buy a new one.....
