Chipboost remap for VRS

Featured Replies

I bit the nail at last and had my car re mapped today by Chipboost. The whole process from start to finish took less than an hour and the results are very good.:D

He did a diagnostic check before and after to check everything was okay. Thankfully it was, which is a bonus! The went for atest drive and boy, was I pleased with the results!

The car is much much smoother and more powerful. The turbo spools up at just over 1200 rpm and sounds really good! That is in part thanks to the Milltek sport cat and exhaust, plus the new map! The power really comes on strong, revs right round to past 4000 rpm with no real loss in power, as there was before!

It has bought the smile back to my face again with the car (not that I ever really lost it!) It is money well spent and would recommend anyone to get a re map. Only down side is that Im fitting my set of brake discs and pads tomorrow and will mean slow mo driving for a couple hundred miles whilst they bed in properly:(

I thought the car was brisk before the remap. Now its a true hot hatch and I think is how Skoda should have released the car from production.

I would like to thank James who re mapped my car. He really is a top bloke and would recommend him to anyone on this forum:thumbup:

What level of BHP should your car be up to now then?

They seem to have a very good rep and very keen prices as well.

Glad your pleased with the results

It should be in the region of 180 bhp and about 290lbs of torque? Though I will have it put on the rolling road to see. Either way, the in gear acceleration is not much different than that of my 300bhp Focus RS and thats fast!

Sounds good, where are chipboost based?

How much did this cost please mate?

Not far from me either! Sounds a great purchase!

Do you have any videos of your exhaust? Just wating to now how it sounds :)

The remap cost me

I also can recommend Chipboost. Our vRS was mapped last summer--about 5,000 miles ago and I've had no problems/issues and can confirm mpg remains same as before the re-map, at around 48mpg.

Hope to put car on rollers some time this year to checkout power/torque.

Dave.
