Hello, I've been a Fabia owner for 6 years now and just today the EPC light came on, first i noticed the tail lights were on when i had parked. Can anyone advise me as to what would cause this?

Tail lights or brake lights?

Hello, I think it's the brake lights---sounds bad not even knowing for sure! but the light at top of rear window was also lit,for a while the coolant temperature/coolant level light has been coming on,a garage said the level was corect,can these warning lights just be faulty?The owners manual has me worried saying "A program stored in the engine control unit makes it possible to continue driving with certain restrictions" when the EPC light comes on.any advice as i don't want to take it into a skoda dealer and be charged for something thats not needed.thanks l.meneely

If you brake lights are sticking on then you have a faulty brake light switch, this would also bring on the EPC light as the brake light switch is part of that system.

Just out of interest- what strictions does EPC light indicate? I@ve had real problems with my 1.2 03 fabia comfort juddering and misfiring - but when the EPC light finally comes on it drives fine!
