Please can some one help

This started off with a heating/gauge prolem but now seems to have escalted into something major, including not starting and none of gauges working when it does. When thfabia did start none of the gauges were working speedo rev counter temp or fuel. After restarting everything seemed ok apart from temp gague not working properly, garage had car back 3 times now for problem with temp gauge and hewating sensor which they replaced. heating pleases itself and like i say gauge not working, seriously worried is it time to get rid.just turned 60 000 miles 1.4 classic 8v. Anyone know the cure

Sorry , I cannot help you out , not had that problem on my car , but have a free bump to the top of the page on me , from a fellow 1.4 8V owner! I hope someone else can help you.

At last ( he says hopefully) it seems to be fixed the gauge is working as it should and the car is hot, well very hot indeed. Of course iI can turn it down tho. Apparently I was told the senser had been replaced twice once by Skoda(david Ian) and once at Rayrigg but it appears the whole thermostat was broke, the sensor is part of the thermostat and the whike thing should have been replaced. I am guessing this will have cost in the region of more than my extra warranty (£300) 2xsensor at £96 a go inc labour and then a whole replacement of thermostat in my guess around £350 total. Not certain about that tho. I just hope this time it will work correctly and not break down after a few weeks again.
