So, my 06 vRS has finally rolled around to 10,000 miles. I bought it from Ballamy's Skoda in Shoreham this time last yet but it looks as though they have closed for business now.

My question: where should i take it for its 10,000 mile service? Are there any recommended Skoda dealerships in the Sussex/Kent area that aren't completely useless?

P.S. I know i can just do a dealer search on the Skoda site, i just wondered if there are any places anyone can recommend.

Every single Skoda dealer is listed on the site in the Review centre on this site.

It lists people's experiance (good and bad) so should tell you want you need to know.

Just spoke to Caffyns in Tunbridge Wells, apparently £200 for the 10,000k service - is that any good?!

I think servicing prices are very much one and the same between garages IIRC

10k oil only service can be done by Clarion Cars in Worthing, not an official dealer (they are ex Skoda) but just as good for 'standard' stuff. I used them for the 10k

Station Garage in Ewhurst seem fine for warranty and more major services, just used them for the 20k and some warranty stuff.

Sparshotts have re-opened the ex Saltdean Group Skoda dealers in Chichester, which might be closer to you.

There will be an official dealer down towards Brighton way soon so Skoda hint, as far as I can ascertain Frosts might be looking at holding the franchise...

Wrinkles in the seats I see in your .sig - these have gone of their own accord in my 06. Still rattles from the driver's door though

Yup, Ballamy's didn't really get a chance to fix that (not sure about you, but i found them pretty useless with that issue) and mine are slowly getting better.

Same problem with the rattley driver door for me too - would be nice to know what it is so i can fix it, but my "workaround" is just to turn up the stereo a little more :P

Ballamy's after sales was a bit rubbish, yes. Rattle is fixed as of today (as per other thread I've just started) so get them to check the window regulator.
