New Amp Advice Please

Featured Replies

My current amp seems to be fecked so am looking at a new one. I have seen the JBL GTO 75.4 which states it produces 2 x 104W RMS + 284W RMS for sub.

I am running a set of front infinity 6010cs components which are 90W RMS/270W max and a JBL GT3 sub which is 225w rms/1800w max.

My questions are will this amp run these ok and more importantly are JBL amps any good?

I have the JBL 75.2 (the equivalant of 2 channels of the amp you're looking at) in my Octy bridged to run a JBL sub and it's fine. Gives a nice bit of depth to music, not earth shattering but I didn't want to fill the boot with subs and amps. Had no problems with mine so far.

Thanks for your reply, really appreciate it. I have bought the 75.4 and am just waiting for it to be delivered.

I hope you are saying this tongue in cheek as the amplifier gains are not volume controls.

They should be set up properly, as if they aint you risk frying the amp - which could be why the first one went ;)
