Rear Washer jet

Featured Replies

I noticed tonight that my rear washer jet wasn't spraying. I can hear the motor working but nothing seems to come out. I've checked to see if there was some dirt in the nozzle, but it seemed to be clean.

I can only imagine that it's a piping problem, or even perhaps a leak, but how easy would it be to locate the leak? And if it is leaking, what are the chances that it's flooding into the car?

I know that the pump is working as all the water has been drained from the washer tank.

Well covered and a search might well reveal the answer.

But usual suspects are the bulkhead in the engine bay by the ABS unit (if fitted). n/s/r 1/4 in the boot and tailgate. All have push fit connections which pop apart..

I had this happen to my Fabia vRS, just tok it back the the dealer in Canterbury and they put it back on FOC. Just be careful if it's frosty out. wait until the engine is warm and it warms the bottle.

wifey has this problem on her 1.4 2003 plate

basically the tube comes loose. local skoda dealer have replaced it twice.. they blame it on "not using their type of wash fluid" - apparently other types of fluid are thicker and can cause blockages

Sorry to seem dense - can't see pipe in rear , but suspect thats my prob too- rear n/s carpet's damp .--had carpet /trin off boot ns - no sign of pipe (CLASSIC, 04 plate) - cant see a panel - though there must be one.

i had same problem, you need to remove the left side panel cloth trim in boot ( as if you was getting into light fixture) then look forwords towards the rear door and you will c some connector blocks, near there you will c a black pipe, the other end will be at side or further forwords. Just push back together.

Magic words were black pipe -

but it wasn't that one - but mystery solved - found the end going to the rear wash under the bonnet. can't at moment see end from bottle - hoping it hasn't dropped onto drive shaft and met the road.More investigation (at future date ) needed.

Thanks all.

I managed to fix mine this morning if you need a picture of where the connector is?
