At long last the rattle from the driver's side window on my VRS has been sorted.

This was occurring whenever going over uneven roads etc with a sort of ticking rattle noise, for want of a better description, from the top of the driver's door. Quite irritating.

Dealer made adjustments to the window regulator and all is quiet. The window regulator is the mechanics to lower/raise the window. So make sure they check it.

I hoped this was a "how to guide" Really wanna sort it out for the summer when I have the window down so it doesnt rattle anymore but Im too tight to pay the dealer to do it

I have the same issue. when I take my list of faults in I will tell them this is how to sort it !!!!

It's worse in cold conditions I believe.

I was goign to describe it to the dealer as if the car was goign down a cobbled street and thats when it does it. I think both front windows does this on mine

Ah sorry but hopefully you can try out the regulator. Doesn't appear that they removed the door card or anything (or if they did very good job at putting it back together). I'm sure there are some guides on the electric windows on or referenced from this site. Or I might have been dreaming!

Any ideas how we can do this ourselves? bickertons in sheffield said there was no problem, yet the windows rattle like crazy within the doors when up or down.
